Budgeting for your New Kitchen

The average person remodels their kitchen only twice in their lifetime. Wouldn’t it be nice to know what kind of budget to have for your perfect kitchen?  R &R Kitchen and Bath has put together some allowance guidelines to help plan your new kitchen!

Good kitchen;    Small kitchen, basic designs, stock cabinet size, stock laminate counter top color and design, stock sink and faucet, no changes in basic room layout, small electrical repairs.   Allowance: $9,000 to $15, 000

Better kitchen    Medium kitchen, modestly improved design, stock cabinet size, laminate counter top, improved choice of sink and faucet, larger allocation for electrical and plumbing updates.    Allowance: $15,000 to $20,000

Best kitchen    Medium to large kitchen, increased design options, semi-custom cabinets, solid surface counter tops, choice of sink and faucet, ample allocation for updates to electrical, plumbing, and lighting.        Allowance: $20,000 to $30,000

Dream kitchen     Completely customized kitchen, creative design options, shifting of walls, custom cabinets, additional storage solutions, granite and/or quartz counter tops, choice of sink and faucet, ample allocation for updates to electrical, plumbing, and lighting.   Allowance: $30,000 and up
